AutoEdit is a suite of AI-powered Adobe Premiere Pro plugins designed to help video editors create rough cuts faster. Instead of trying to replace editors, AutoEdit handles repetitive editing tasks like beat cuts, B-roll selections, transcript cleanup, title card placement, and effects placement so editors can focus on creative decisions.
What is the AutoEdit suite?
AutoEdit is not one single AI editing plugin. It is a suite of specialized AI video editing tools for different types of editors and different editing workflows.
- AutoEdit Music Video Mode
- AutoEdit Event Recap Mode
- AutoEdit Creator Mode
- Selectrâ„¢ AI B-Roll Selector
About the founder
My name is Devin Huynh. Before creating AutoEdit, I worked as a videographer and editor in Los Angeles. I started by doing free work, then eventually worked on larger productions, tours, festivals, and creator content. I’m currently based in Thailand and now create AI plugins for video editors full-time.
The features inside AutoEdit come directly from real editing problems I experienced while cutting music videos, event recaps, creator content, and social videos.

What makes AutoEdit different?
AutoEdit is designed to create rough-cut timelines, not finished edits. The goal is not to generate a perfect video that can be posted immediately. The goal is to eliminate repetitive editing work so the editor can focus on storytelling, pacing, creative choices, color, sound, and final revisions.
AI should enhance editors, not replace them. AutoEdit works best as an assistant inside Premiere Pro that helps you get to a usable starting point faster.

AutoEdit Music Video Mode

AutoEdit Music Video Mode is a Premiere Pro plugin that automatically creates beat-synced music video rough cuts from music, full-length performance footage, and optional B-roll.
Users upload one music track, raw performance footage, and optional B-roll. Performance shots should cover the full length of the song. Music Video Mode currently supports MP4 and MOV clips.
The plugin detects the beat, switches between performance shots, inserts B-roll, and creates a rough cut synced to the song. Editors can choose settings like fast pacing, staircase editing, or random switching.
After the cut is generated, users can apply visual effects such as camera shakes, CRT effects, film burns, and transitions using intensity controls. Music Video Mode also includes a title card applier for MOGRT title cards.
AutoEdit Event Recap Mode

AutoEdit Event Recap Mode is a Premiere Pro plugin that creates rough-cut event recap videos and aftermovies from music, B-roll, and optional interview footage.
Users upload one music track and at least three B-roll clips. Interview clips are optional. Event Recap Mode currently supports horizontal MP4 and MOV footage. Vertical support is planned for a future update.
The plugin can use automatic BPM detection or manual beat tapping. It then creates a B-roll quick-selects timeline and generates an event recap rough cut based on the length of the song.
Event Recap Mode can also apply hype-style transitions and effects like film burns, zooms, camera shakes, risers, crowd sounds, and impacts. If interview clips are uploaded, the plugin can analyze the audio and select quotes for the recap.
Selectrâ„¢ AI B-Roll Selector
Selectrâ„¢ is the standalone AI B-roll selector from the AutoEdit suite. It focuses on one workflow: creating quick B-roll selects timelines.
Selectr is not designed to find every perfect moment inside a long clip. Instead, it helps trim shaky or blurry beginnings and endings so editors can get a faster starting point.
AutoEdit Creator Mode
AutoEdit Creator Mode is an AI Premiere Pro plugin for creators. It uses Claude AI to analyze transcripts and cut out weak takes, repeated ideas, filler words, dead space, and unnecessary sections from talking-head content.
Creator Mode is designed for YouTubers, podcasters, TikTok creators, Instagram creators, educators, and anyone editing content based on speech.
Creator Mode works from transcript-based footage, which makes it useful for tutorials, talking-head videos, podcasts, interviews, and educational content. Current features include AI transcript editing, repeat removal, filler word cleanup, silence cutting, clipboard image pasting, and podcast editing workflows.
Does AutoEdit replace video editors?
No. AutoEdit does not replace video editors. AutoEdit helps editors remove repetitive work, generate rough timelines, and speed up the setup process inside Premiere Pro. The editor is still responsible for creative judgment, storytelling, client revisions, pacing, music choices, color, audio, and final delivery.
